Test

In the morning...

In the morning, I used to have worksheets and papers for the class to complete.  What I found what that the kids that needed them were late from breakfast or couldn't read the paper on their own.  So, morning choices began.  They can read, draw, write, talk, play a math game, take an AR quiz, or whatever they choose.  They MUST read the morning message, but after that, it's their choice.  I like choice much better!

This was the longest book he has ever read!  He was so proud of himself!

Research!

What do you do when you find a slug in your yard?  Bring it to school!  That's just what this girl did...and she checked out a book from the library to learn more and then shared her information with us!

Helpers!

What you see here is a mess...but what I love is that students are constantly helping me out.

Today, when given a choice between playing a math game or helping me put tape on papers for the hallway, a boy chose helping.  He told me it's because he's a Boy Scout and you should always help.
