Some days are tough. I want to sit beside the kids and see what they are doing, thinking, and discovering. Some days I can't. I have to test students individually throughout the year, which is valuable information. But, they have finally figured out that when I am testing, they can still work without me. As you can see here from the photos. One hundred percent of these students were on task!
What does that have to do with learning? So glad you asked. I ask the kids to explore a blueberry muffin when we determine the main idea of passages. The muffin represents the main idea (what it's all about) and the blueberries are the supporting details. Do they remember it? Yes. And do they love eating? See their photos!
