David Shannon study

In our writing, we are focusing on writing like David Shannon.  So, first you have to study him!  I love watching the kids work together and share their ideas.  

Fire Safety

Our local fire department comes and shares about how they help others.  You can see from the photos that students were captured by what they were able to see and were great listeners.

Walk-a-thon Fun

It was a gorgeous day for a walk-a-thon.  Thanks to all who supported it and made it an amazing day and a way to help fun activities for our school!

On the Same Team

 

We had the chance to hear Retro Bill speak.  He spoke to us about respecting others and that we are on the same team.  He also reminded us to be ourselves and to talk to others and let them know when they've hurt our feelings.  The kids really enjoyed him!

Growth Mindset

We are all about learning and growing.  We are all about being proud of what we accomplish.  And we are all about telling others!

So proud of this young lady who struggled to come up with writing ideas and then she had to tell me about her time in writing workshop.  I staged her conversation later with me because it's hard to capture conversations when they happen out of the blue.

Our Jobs
