Just like Kate!

When I teach writing, I try to point out certain characteristics of writers that we read.  Kate DiCamillo is one of those authors.  In The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, one element she used was the magic of three.

And so did this author!

What did we eat?

As you can see from our photos, we ate pomegranate seeds.  Some students liked them.  There's definitely one who didn't.  Can you find that student?

Details and Distractions

It doesn't take much to distract some of my students.

Can you see what distracted them yesterday?

It's a spider that was hanging from the ceiling and my students saw it across the room and were mesmerized.  Unfortunately, it looks more like a blur when I snapped the photo (it's just to the left of the j words) because it started to climb before it was removed from the room.

In the morning...

A while ago, I moved away from giving the kids a worksheet in the morning to complete.  Some days I give them something, but most days, I just let this happen...

New Food

I love trying new foods and I love seeing kids learn they actually like them.
